Coursework

research imageCore courses: All graduate students in the Department of Psychology complete a series of core courses in basic aspects of psychology (or show existing proficiency in these subject areas at the level of these core courses).


Clinical students take coursework in psychological evaluation (PSY 645), evidenced based treatments (PSY 656), and psychotherapy, ethics, and professional issues (PSY 657), and additional coursework to meet national professional organization (i.e. APA) guidelines for clinical training.



Health Track Courses: Additionally, the “behavioral medicine sequence” includes an overview course in behavioral medicine (PSY 601), coursework in biobehavioral processes (PSY 606, 616), and for clinical students, psychological evaluation in physical disorders (PSY 648), and health psychology interventions (PSY 662).
